**Policy & Information for All Concerts by The Festival Chorus during the 2021-2022 season**

The Festival Chorus and its venues for all of its concerts  (Knox United Church and the Eckhardt-Gramatté Recital Hall/Rozsa Centre, U of C) are participating in the Alberta government Restrictions Exemption Program (REP).

*PLEASE NOTE* As of November 15, 2021, the Government of Alberta will require all event attendees to utilize the new AB COVID Verification app. This will allow you to provide proof of vaccination via a QR code (a secure barcode with your information). Any other forms of vaccination proof will no longer be accepted as of this date. Current identification will also need to be presented. Please visit the government website for more information: https://covidrecords.alberta.ca/home

In addition, The Festival Chorus is setting a supplementary policy that exceeds the requirements of the REP in order to ensure the safety of all of our audience members.

We plan to operate with the following policy in place throughout the season unless and until health orders change and may be amended.

  • Entry to Festival Chorus concerts will require proof of fully vaccinated status for all persons 12 years of age and older. Ticket buyers will be required to attest that they have proof of vaccination at the time of purchase and then provide the printed or scanned proof on their phones along with a government-issued photo ID to be granted entry to the concert.
  • A valid Alberta vaccine record with QR Code will be the required proof of vaccination as per the REP. [Other accepted forms, if the Alberta QR record is not available, will be official vaccination records from other provinces, First National vaccine records, Canadian Armed Forces vaccine records, or ArriveCan app with valid identity document.]
  • Any audience members with a valid medical exemption from vaccinations must bring an original signed letter attesting to that AND proof of a negative COVID-19 test result obtained at their expense within 72 hours prior to the concert.
  • Audience sizes will be capped to allow for distanced seating.
  • Attendees will be seated 2 meters apart with only persons in the same ‘bubble’ seated together.  Youth under the age of 12 will be required to be seated with a vaccinated guardian.
  • Following the City of Calgary mask mandate and Alberta Health Services recommendation, all audience members will be required to wear a proper mask (covering both nose and mouth) upon entry and for the full duration of the concert.
  • The December (Navidad Latina) and March (One World, Many Voices) concerts will be about 60 minutes in length, performed without an intermission.
  • No concession will be offered and neither food nor drink will be allowed in the concerts.
  • To ensure the safety of all attending, anyone who has or has had symptoms of COVID-19, has arrived from outside Canada, or been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 within 14 days prior to the concert should not attend, even if they are vaccinated.

With all of our valued and faithful audience patrons following the above, The Festival Chorus will look forward to seeing you again as we return to live concerts in 2021-2022.
